Gilmore Girls is an incredibly successful comedy-drama TV show that ran for seven seasons from 2000 until 2007. It follows Lorelai and Rory Gilmore, a young single mother and her teenage daughter, as they navigate relationships with their family, friends, and romantic partners in the small town of Stars Hollow, Connecticut. The show has a large ensemble cast, including members of the town, Lorelai’s parents, and the pair's various love interests. As Rory moved from high school to college, the show evolves from a cozy, lighthearted small-town show to a more dramatic character-study, focusing on dramatized adult relationships, career hardships, and the struggles of becoming an independent adult. The sixth season of the show specifically focuses on the large rift between Lorelai and Rory after Rory drops out of Yale and moves in with Lorelai’s parents, Richard and Emily; and Lorelai’s relationship struggles with Luke. Lorelai and Rory are both beloved figures in Stars Hollow, and their relationship and career struggles have saddened the townspeople. Topic 2: Getting Rory Back to Yale:

Despite a years-long dream to eventually attend an Ivy League university, Rory Gilmore has dropped out of Yale after being disheartened of her abilities as a journalist! She’s moved into the pool house of Lorelai’s parents, Emily and Richard, has started working for the organization Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), is estranged from her mother, is serving community service after her arrest for stealing a yacht, and has become a regular socialite. Seeing the bright future of this beloved member of the community in jeopardy has saddened the townspeople, and they have decided to hold a town meeting to address it. With Rory’s “break” from Yale growing longer every day, how will Stars Hollow repair Rory’s relationship with her mother and get her back on track to graduate at the top of her class at Yale?
