The Ministry of Magic
Topic 1: Rights of Magical Creatures
Since the Second Wizarding War, a movement has begun, spearheaded by household names such as Hermione Granger and Luna Lovegood, in order to give more rights to Magical Creatures under Wizarding Laws. It is argued that creatures such as House Elves, Goblins, and Centaurs should be given more rights, as they aided Harry Potter in his defeat of Voldemort. However, other groups of magical creatures who supported the Death Eaters, such as Werewolves, Vampires, and Giants crave more rights from the Ministry in exchange for lessened violence.
Topic 2: Changing Blood-Purity Laws and the International Statute of Wizarding Secrecy
Blood status is the way in which members of the Wizarding World categorize the level of magical family members in a bloodline. Purebloods, half-bloods, and muggle-borns all represent various levels of blood purity. However, at it core, this delineation between blood causes divisiveness, turmoil, and prejudice within wizarding society, much of which was capitalized on by Lord Voldemort. This also is influenced by the International Statute of Wizarding Secrecy, which must be approved by the end of the year, regarding dealings between Muggles and Wizard-Kind.
