Papal Consistory

The 17th century is upon us, and Protestantism has arisen from the perceived dogmatic errors and corruption within the Church, as Martin Luther’s 95 theses would indicate. This comes coupled with the rise of scientific belief challenging the validity of the Church. Figures such as Giordano Bruno and Galilieo Galilei have denounced the basic tenets of the Church, while pushing their ideology of a heliocentric model and cosmic pluralism. It is up to the consistory to balance progress with Catholicism's core beliefs, and address the challenges ahead.
