United Nations Commission for Social Development (CSocD)

Topic 1: Gender Equality

Regardless of their gender, each and every person must receive equal protection and rights. Gender Equality is one of the most crucial issues at hand to make our world a more socially inclusive place, which is one of the main tenets of the Commission for Social Development. Our topic is also key to eradicating poverty and achieving sustainable development. In our committee, we will work to further gender equality on a variety of issues, including access to education, employment, health care, and other fundamental human rights.

Topic 2: Political Freedom

In order to foster successful social development, we must ensure that every citizen is enabled and empowered to participate in their country's political process. Marginalized communities can be some of the first to be threatened with losing political freedom, clearly perpetuating inequality and exclusion. The innovative solutions we develop in our committee will further the CSocD's efforts to create an inclusive "society for all.”
